Fireworks Permit

View the list of licensed vendors below. Residents are encouraged to look for the permit to be posted in the place of operation.

All firework vendors are required to be licensed by the City of Alleman. If approved, each vendor is required to keep their license posted in their unit at all times while conducting business in the City and be able to produce the permit upon the request of prospective customers as evidence of compliance. 

Residents who encounter unlicensed vendors are encouraged to file a report with the City of Alleman at (515) 685-3666.

Mobile Food Unit Vendor Permit

All mobile food unit vendors are required to be licensed by the City of Alleman. If approved, each vendor is required to keep their license posted in their unit at all times while conducting business in the City and be able to produce the permit upon the request of prospective customers as evidence of compliance.

Public Event Permit

All Applications are subject to approval by the Alleman City Clerk or designee. If approved, a Public Event Permit shall be issued which shall be in the possession of the applicant at all times during the Public Event, and shall be subject to inspection by City staff.

 

Other permits and/or licenses may be required in addition to the Public Event Permit, depending upon the nature of the public event. City staff is available to provide assistance with such other permits and/or licenses. A properly issued Public Event Permit. Contact the Alleman City Hall at (515) 685 - 3666 for assistance. 

Approval of an Application for a Public Event Permit is subject to the factors set forth in Alleman's Code of Ordinances Chapter 135. If an Application is denied, the Applicant may appeal such denial to the Alleman City Council by filing a written appeal, with the City Clerk within 10 days of such denial. 

 

Solicitors License

Doing business door-to-door?
All peddlers, solicitors and transient merchants must obtain a Solicitor's License from the City of Alleman. The purpose of a Solicitor's License is to protect residents against fraud, unfair competition and intrusion into the privacy of their homes.

If approved, each solicitor is required to keep their license in their possession at all times while conducting business in the City and be able to produce the license upon the request of prospective customers as evidence of compliance with the City's Municipal Code.

A non-refundable $20 application fee is required at the time of submission. Licenses can be obtained for a period of one day up to six months. Rates vary based on the length of the license.

Pursuant to the City's Municipal Code, hours of solicitation in the City of Alleman are from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Soliciting is not permitted on Sundays or national holidays.
